We are blind, and He serves as our guide; we dwell in darkness, and He illuminates our path

Navigating this journey can be challenging without relying on any supernatural assistance for direction and oversight. The world is vast, empty, and often overwhelming, leaving us feeling lost, confused, and uncertain when faced with various challenges. We may be tempted to depend on friends, family, deities, idols, alcohol, or any distractions that prevent us from confronting our issues or seeking the right path, instead of succumbing to worry and engaging in self-destructive behaviors.

Nevertheless, we possess the ability to choose life and to place our trust in our Creator, the Lord of Israel, the one true God who sacrificed His Son for our benefit. This is the God who supports us and takes joy in every aspect of our lives.

As stated in Psalms 37:23, the LORD guides the steps of the righteous and takes pleasure in every detail of their existence. Though they may stumble, they will not fall, for the LORD upholds them by the hand. While reflecting on this verse, I realized that I exist in a dark world, one where I am often unaware of what lies ahead. Although I may know my current situation, the future remains uncertain. In essence, I cannot navigate everything on my own. He reminded me that He takes joy in our lives and desires to ensure that we move forward with love, ease, and peace. This is why He wishes to guide our decisions, plans, and actions as we embark on a journey with Him. He wants us to understand that without Him, it is nearly impossible to navigate safely and soundly until the end of our earthly journey. Consider a blind person or an individual in a dark room without guidance; if there are stones, holes, or other obstacles, they will undoubtedly stumble because they cannot see where to step to reach their destination.

As Christians, we are called to trust in the Lord and surrender all aspects of our lives to Him. He will guide our paths, as He understands the best way to lead us to our destinations. While it may take some individuals six years to achieve success in a particular field, the Lord is aware of our human nature and the inevitability of our mistakes. This is why He extends His hand to assist us and to direct our future. We are indeed fortunate to receive forgiveness for our sins through Christ Jesus.
